Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QuietStack (“QuietStack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Yardwork Baseball IQ mobile application (the “App”). We’ve built the App to keep the information it handles to the minimum needed to make it work, and this page describes exactly what that is.

The short version

If you use the App on your own, your data stays on your device. If you use the Teams feature — where a coach creates a team and players join with a code — a small amount of team information (including the player name you enter and your quiz results) is stored in Apple’s iCloud so it can sync between the coach and team members. We do not require an account, we never ask for your email or password, and we do not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

Information we collect

Information you provide when using Teams. The App includes an optional Teams feature. When a coach creates a team, we store the team name and season you enter. When a player joins a team using a join code, we store the player name entered on that device. As players complete coach-assigned practice, we store their results — the number of questions answered, the number answered correctly, and best streak. This information is stored using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit service so that it can sync between the coach and the members of the same team.

A device identifier for team membership. So that the Teams feature can tie a team, membership, and results to the right person without requiring you to create an account or password, the App uses the identifier that Apple assigns to your iCloud account for this App (an “iCloud user record identifier”). This is a random identifier specific to this App. We do not receive your Apple ID, your real name, or your email address through it.

Information stored only on your device. If you use the App by yourself, or use the on-device coach tools without the cloud Teams feature, the teams, rosters, assignments, and results you create are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us or to Apple’s CloudKit.

What we do not collect. The App has no login system and does not collect your real name, email address, phone number, password, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not embed any third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software.

How team information is shared and who can see it

The Teams feature is collaborative by design. When you join a team, the coach and other members of that team can see the shared team roster (the player names entered) and the results for coach-assigned practice, so the coach can track progress. If you would prefer not to use a full name, you can enter a first name, a nickname, or initials as the player name — the App works the same way. As the operator of the App, QuietStack is able to access team records through Apple’s CloudKit administration tools in order to run and support the service.

Purchases and subscriptions

Yardwork offers optional “Pro” and “Team” subscriptions that are purchased and managed entirely through the Apple App Store. Apple processes all payments; we never receive, see, or store your payment card details or billing information. Your purchase is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy practices — see Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your device’s App Store subscription settings.

Children’s privacy

Yardwork is a baseball-education app that may be used by children as well as coaches and parents. We deliberately limit what the App handles: for the Teams feature, the only personal information stored is the player name a user chooses to enter, along with in-app quiz results. We encourage coaches and parents to use a first name, nickname, or initials rather than a full name. We do not knowingly collect real contact information (such as an email address, phone number, or home address) from anyone, including children, and the App provides no way to enter such information. If you are a parent or guardian and would like a child’s team information reviewed or removed, contact us at support@quietstack.dev and we will take care of it.

Data retention and deletion

On-device data remains until you delete it in the App or remove the App from your device. For team information stored in iCloud, a player can stop participating at any time, and you can request that we delete team records associated with you or your team by emailing support@quietstack.dev.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the App has no account system, most data is either on your own device or is limited team information tied to a random identifier. To make a request regarding team information, contact us at support@quietstack.dev and we will respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information.

Third-party services

The App relies on Apple’s services — iCloud/CloudKit for the Teams feature and the App Store for purchases. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not use any other third-party service providers to collect information through the App.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and any changes become effective when posted here.
